Reiki Training Courses
Reiki is a hands on healing system based on the channelling of energy. It is suitable for anyone who wishes to minimise stress and promote a calmer response to life’s challenges, by strengthening your own inner resources. All you need is a desire to learn Reiki to enable you to treat yourself and others.
Mikao Usui’s original system of Reiki is powerful and elegant. Originally it was first and foremost a spiritual path that involved energy exercises, meditation and self-treatments.
As Reiki has developed in the West it is increasingly perceived as a complementary therapy.
So, Reiki can be used as a technique for relaxation, inner peace and balance to use on oneself and others, or it can be practiced as Usui’s original system, as a journey of spiritual growth.
Reiki is both a system and an energy and has a definite connection to a person’s spiritual side, the need to feel connected and a sense of inner peace and trust.
Reiki involves working with the energy to acheive a state of balance in your life. It is all about change – change for the better. As you invest in yourself, working with the energy, so you begin to make decisions to move closer to what is right for you.
I offer ongoing help and advice for all of my students at every level and to be on hand to support you in your practice of Reiki.
I teach Reiki both as it was originally taught and also how it has developed in the West. I therefore use both Japanese and Western Attunements in my Reiki courses.
I was first attuned to Reiki in January 2001 and have been teaching Reiki since January 2004. I have trained to Master/Teacher level with 2 teachers, Ann Darby and Taggart King. I have also studied Original Usui Reiki with Taggart King.
Reiki First Degree (Shoden):
Reiki First Degree is first and foremost about self-healing, self-empowering and self-improving.
By the end of the course you will have received attunements that give you a permanent gateway for the Reiki energy to be available to you whenever you wish.
There are many uses and needs for Reiki – everywhere and every day and the more that you use Reiki the more it will teach you.

Reiki Second Degree (Okuden):
This level is called Okuden in Japan. At least 3 months should elapse between first level attunements and the start of level two. Two or three more attunements are given and students experience a deepening of the Reiki experience. The Reiki symbols and their uses are introduced along with distant healing. This level is also known as Practitioner level. You will learn new techniques that will increase your ability to channel Reiki and further your spiritual development.
As at Reiki First Degree, because the practice of Reiki has inevitably developed and changed as it has spread to the West and over time, I teach a combination of original Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki styles.

Reiki Second Degree Courses run throughout the year and I contact all Reiki First Degree Students to notify them of the dates.

Master/Teacher Level (Shinpiden):
This is known as Shinpiden in Japan. At least one year must have elapsed since the level two attunements. You will deepen your ability and learn how to pass the Reiki ability to others.
I teach Reiki Master Level on a one to one basis. After the two day course the newly attuned Master must begin to work on themselves and practice the techniques, meditations and attunement processes. They can return to me or contact me at any time for support or advice. If at any time they decide to begin teaching Reiki themselves then all the additional support and help that they need will be available.
